Certificate III in Warehousing Operations

This is a general qualification for the Warehousing and Storage Industry. It involves a range of tasks involving known routines and procedures, and taking some accountability for the quality of work outcomes.

Our transport and logistics clients use this course to develop the skills and knowledge of new entrants into stores and warehousing or to recognise the skills of existing workers.
This is a qualification for those engaged in the warehousing and storage sector that are involved in the supply chain process, handling vendor orders and interactions, implementing safety regulations and checking all packages for quality assurance. A variety of staff roles will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Knowledge and skills developed in this course will include how to analyse shipment logs, review timeliness of scheduled deliveries, track inventory levels, create orders, optimise workflow, track expenses relating to fuel, storage and vehicle maintenance, handle dangerous goods, monitor warehouse KPI’s in addition to facility and equipment maintenance. It may be a requirement for staff to operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery. Other roles within the warehousing industry may be responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing and delivering items, supervising and monitoring operator productivity, meeting deadlines and applying quality procedures in the warehouse.

 A total of 19 units of competency comprising:
  • 3 core units
  • 16 general elective units
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Nationally recognised qualification: TLI31616 - Certificate III in Warehousing Operations.
