Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment - Skill Set [MSMSS00017]

This Nationally recognised course is designed for persons who use high pressure water jetting equipment under the supervision of a competent operator within the water jetting team. The job may be to clean, prepare, abrade, cut or demolish concrete, steel or other plant, equipment, vessels or infrastructure.
 

Introduction:

This course is undertaken in compliance with AS /NZS 4233.1 :2013 High pressure water jetting systems - Safe operation and maintenance, AS /NZS 4233.2 :2013 High pressure water jetting systems – Construction and Performance,  or its authorised replacement and Safe Work Australia Guide for Managing Risks from High Pressure Water Jetting December 2013, its state/territory equivalent (where one exists) or the authorised replacement.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Nationally recognised Skill Set in: MSMSS00017 - Use high pressure water jetting equipment.

  • MSMWJ202 Use high pressure water jetting equipment
  • MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit
  • MSMWHS110 Follow emergency response procedures
  • MSMWHS200 Work safely
There are no entry requirements for this course.

Verification of competency or refresher training on high pressure water jetting operations shall be carried out and documented at appropriate intervals not exceeding two years to ensure the continued competency of operators
