ITA fosters mutually beneficial partnerships with industry, government and the community. These collaborations ensure our training services and solutions are current, relevant and aligned to the needs of the present-day market. Our industry partnerships often unlock opportunities and as a result provide positive and long lasting benefits for all of the parties involved.
Bus Industry
Over the years ITA have worked with industry associations and groups to improve the services provided to their members or stakeholders. These have included transport, waste management and re-cycling associations.
For example, we have been servicing the training needs of the New South Wales Bus and Coach industry since 1999. We are the only RTO in partnership with the NSW Bus Industry Association (BusNSW) and work in conjunction with them to develop learning and assessment strategies for the industry.
As a previous winner of the BusNSW Supplier of the Year award we aim to offer our industry Partners progressive solutions to ensure risks are reduced and customer service improved.Since starting to serve the Industry, over 25,000 drivers have completed our NSW Bus Driver Authority training course delivered by over 200 approved trainers located throughout the State.
At the same time, over 2,000 drivers have obtained the qualification, Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus) under traineeships. Included in this full qualification are industry specific learning sessions covering topics such as:
- Defensive driving
- Safety at work
- Customer service
- Dealing with customers with disabilities
- Conflict resolution
- Security/violence mangement
- Fatigue management
- Ticketing/fares
