Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction)

This is a qualification for those engaged in heavy vehicle driving instructor job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry. Any person, who teaches, tests or assesses another person to drive or vary their driver licence and receives money or reward for teaching, testing or assessing, is required by law to hold a Driving Instructor's licence. In most States/Territories this qualification is required by the licensing regulators prior to an Instructor being approved to conduct heavy vehicle licence up-grades. 
TLI41318 - Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction)

This is a qualification for those engaged in heavy vehicle driving instructor job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry. It includes the performance of a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, to develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and to provide some leadership and guidance to others in applying skills and planning skill development.
 
The new qualification replaces but is not equivalent the earlier qualification TLI41310 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics due to packaging rules changing. The overall number of units increased from 10 to 14, with the addition/deletion of core units.
 
This qualification is required by most State/Territory licensing regulators prior to the Instructor being approved to conduct heavy vehicle licence up-grades. Only qualifications issued by RTOs who are approved by a State Regulator will be accepted. We are approved by the NSW government Regulator (RMS) to deliver the course and, National mutual recognition arrangements, other States should accept our qualification.

Prerequisite units (Participants must provide a Statement of Attainment prior to commencement of the course)
  1. TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction
  2. TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs Participants must provide a current and valid Heavy Vehicle Licence
