Any person, who teaches, tests or assesses another person to drive or vary their driver licence and receives money or reward for teaching, testing or assessing, is required by law to hold a Driving Instructor's licence. In most States/Territories this qualification is required by the licensing regulators prior to an Instructor being approved to conduct heavy vehicle licence up-grades.
